Alex Beckstrand is the founder and owner of Legacies of Service LLC, a military history research service. An adjunct professor at UConn and Central Connecticut State University, beckstrand is a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve officer, host of New Books in Military History, and works in the aerospace industry. He earned his Ph.D. in history from the University of Connecticut.
