Biography
Robert Benjamin enlisted in the United States Army in 1988 at the age of 27 and served in CENTCOM-Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Distinct recollections of service include: Improvised explosive device (IED) bomb on March 9, 2004, detonated on the main supply routes in support of military operations and humanitarian operations (vic MSR Tampa/MSR Irish); Rocket attacks in Kandhar and Bagram; Commander of 773rd TC, 354th Trans. BN, 167th CSSB, 655th RSG; Deputy Commander, 316th ESC, 310th ESC. Interim Commander, 310th ESC and Distribution Management Chief, 4th ESC/Joint Sustainment Command-Afghanistan.
